VALENTINE'S DAY THEMED TEA DANCE

Monday 13th February.

Lunch/High Tea will be served from 1pm (choice of sandwiches, a cake & a cuppa), with the Tea Dance taking place from 2 - 4pm.

£5 per person food & dance, £2 per person dance only. All welcome

WATERFALL VIEW

Forge Fach is very pleased to welcome a new facility for older local residents.

Our former 'healthy living room' has been transformed into Swansea Council's new "Waterfall View" day service, which has been designed by social services especially for older residents. The facility, the first of its kind in the North of Swansea, will enable local people to get the kind of community social services people want, as close to home as possible. Users have been asked to help decide what goes in it, choose the wallpaper & colour scheme & even pick the name, and will get the chance to surf the internet, meet new friends & try new recreational activities.

PLAY DAY

Forge Fach & Graigfelen Communities First held a Play Day on Wednesday 3rd August 2011, from 12 - 3pm as part of National Play Day

This fun & activity day for children featured play activities, games, stalls, bouncy castle, raffle, face painting, refreshments & a display by the Ishtar Belly Dancers. The event was very much enjoyed by everyone - and the sun also decided to join in & shone down on us for the afternoon! Many thanks to all who volunteered their time & to those who so generously donated raffle prizes.

NEW COURSES FOR AUTUMN 2011

DACE (Department of Adult Continuing Education) & City & County of Swansea's Lifelong Learning Service will be starting a new timetable of adult education courses from September 2011.

Courses include Conversational French, Welsh, Italian, Medieval History, Psychology, Sociology, Counselling & Drawing & Painting. In addition we have a range of computer classes including an 'IT for Absolute Beginners' course & several digital imaging/photo editing courses

CAR PARK EXTENSION

We are pleased to announce that the long-awaited extension to our car park has now been completed, adding some much needed extras spaces and a new, improved lay-out. Thanks to everyone for their patience whilst the work was being completed, and a special thanks to our near neighbours at Dynamic Rock for allowing us to use a few of their car park spaces when things were particularly hectic!.

Forge Fach has been upgraded!

Thanks to some additional capital funding from DE&T, Forge Fach has been able to upgrade its facilities to include:

• A brand new boundary fence to replace the old dangerous and rusty one.
• Integrated LCD projectors and powered screens to the Training Room and Main Hall.
• New stage lighting, sound and mixer desk to the Main Hall
• Portable stage to Main Hall
